Warranty Information

At Georgian Landscape Design, we stand behind the quality of our work and the materials we install. Our warranty policy is structured to provide clarity, set proper expectations, and protect both the client and the integrity of the installation.

Hardscape Warranty

All hardscape installations including paver patios, retaining walls, seat walls, fire features, and masonry elements are covered by a 2-year workmanship warranty from the date of substantial completion.

Covered:

  • Installation-related defects
  • Settling caused by improper base preparation
  • Structural failure due to workmanship

Not Covered:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Efflorescence or natural color variation
  • Damage from misuse, neglect, or lack of maintenance
  • Acts of nature including freeze/thaw, flooding, or soil movement
  • Alterations or repairs performed by others

Manufacturer warranties on materials are passed directly to the homeowner where applicable.

Softscape Warranty

Plant material installed by Georgian Landscape Design carries a 90-day limited warranty, contingent on proper care.

Covered:

  • Plant failure due to installation-related issues

Requirements:

  • Proper watering and maintenance
  • Functional irrigation system (if applicable)
  • Notification within the warranty period

Not Covered:

  • Improper watering or maintenance
  • Weather extremes (drought, excessive rain, freezes)
  • Pest, disease, or animal damage
  • Plants installed without irrigation
  • Transplanted or relocated material

Replacements are one-time only and do not reset the warranty period.

Pool Warranty

Pool installations include a 1-year workmanship warranty.

Covered:

  • Installation-related workmanship defects
  • Plumbing or structural issues tied directly to installation

Not Covered:

  • Pool equipment (covered by manufacturer warranties)
  • Chemical imbalance or improper maintenance
  • Surface wear, discoloration, or cosmetic changes
  • Damage from ground movement or environmental conditions

Pool care, startup, and chemical management are the homeowner’s responsibility unless otherwise stated.

Irrigation, Drainage, Concrete & Additional Services (“Everything Else”)

All other installations including irrigation systems, drainage solutions, concrete work, grading, and similar services are covered by a 1-year workmanship warranty.

Covered:

  • Installation-related defects
  • System failures directly tied to workmanship

Not Covered:

  • Clogged drainage due to debris, roots, or lack of maintenance
  • Irrigation head damage from mowers, foot traffic, or external impact
  • Changes in drainage patterns due to neighboring properties or unforeseen site conditions
  • Cracking in concrete due to natural settling, shrinkage, or environmental factors
  • Hairline cracks, which are a normal occurrence in concrete
  • Damage caused by vehicles, equipment, or misuse

General Warranty Terms

  • All warranties begin at substantial completion
  • Warranty claims must be submitted in writing
  • Georgian Landscape Design reserves the right to inspect all claims
  • Repairs or replacements are performed at the sole discretion of the company
  • Warranty is non-transferable unless agreed otherwise in writing
  • Full payment is required for warranty coverage to remain valid
